So I did a lot of research and discovered that the best way to clean a front load washer is with bleach, vinegar and baking soda. Turns out it’s really easy and requires very little effort!

First, clean the door of the washing machine with a cleaning cloth and some warm water and clean it thoroughly. Then clean the inside of the washing machine plug with an old toothbrush or cleaning cloth.

This will get rid of soap or detergent residue in the washing machine, which can be left behind by soap and water. You will be surprised at the amount of soap scum and even mold you will find on the door and between the rubber seal and the pad.

Don’t forget to clean the colored part of the rubber seal with an old toothbrush and warm water.

Also, don’t forget to remove the rubber part and clean the rubber seal of the pad. But be gentle, you don’t want to tear anything.

Next, clean the inside of the washing machine by preparing a baking soda mixture for the first cleaning.

Mix it with 1/4 cup baking soda and 1/4 cup water in a measuring cup or small bowl. Separately, add 2 cups of vinegar to a measuring cup.

Finally, set the washing machine to a normal wash cycle at the highest water temperature setting, or if you have a clean wash cycle, use it. This step will help break down any mineral deposits and mold growing inside the tank. It will also help to get rid of unpleasant odors.

This step is how to remove any dirt in your device. I really wanted to make sure I got all the mold out, so I took the next step and did a bleach cycle.

Clean the pad seal again with a cloth and warm water to get rid of any remaining mold. I also like to give the inner drum and washing machine door a quick wipe again with an old towel.
