The dirt emoji has one thing right: the color brown. The combination of bile in the stomach and bilirubin, which is a pigment compound created by the breakdown of red blood cells in the body, is responsible for this beautiful brown shade.

A bit like a log is how most poo should come out due to the build up inside the intestines. However, as we will discuss later, dust can take many forms.
When they differ from the shape of a log, that’s when the dirt is trying to tell you that something is happening.
Stools should not come out in small balls – another thing we will talk about later – but instead should be several inches long, comfortable, and easy to pass.
Anything between a firm and soft consistency is quite normal. If it wobbles too much one way or another, it may indicate digestive or fiber problems.

If your poo is a light chalk color, it may mean you have a calcium deficiency. Cholesterol is a digestive fluid that comes from your liver and gallbladder, so if you’re producing white stools, it probably means your ducts are blocked.

You’re probably not surprised to hear that red poop can mean bleeding, either from hemorrhoids or bleeding from the lower digestive tract. However, if your stool is slightly red, there is no need to panic right away.
There are other less serious reasons for this color change. Foods such as beets, cherries, red gelatin, or tomato juice can also turn the dirt red.
Fatty, yellow-smelling stools are usually a sign of excess fat. It can also be directly related to a malabsorption disorder such as celiac disease, where your body does not absorb enough nutrients.

If you feel this congestion, you can add more fiber-rich foods to your diet, such as beans, vegetables, fruits and whole grains.

Chronic constipation can block the intestines, while chronic diarrhea can make it difficult for a person to absorb the necessary nutrients from food. Chronic constipation and chronic diarrhea can even be a sign of a more serious condition.
