The more books you have, the more screens you will turn to find the book you want when you want to read. We’ve shown you how to create a collection on your Kindle Paperwhite. This is a great way to store similar books and make them easier to find.
However, you have other ways to manage your library. You can sort your books, filter to find specific books, and search by keyword. And you can do all this on your device or on the Amazon website. Here we will show you how to manage, analyze and organize your Kindle Paperwhite library.
While you’re taking a break from the book you’re reading or thinking about starting a new book, it’s a good time to get used to analyzing and sharing your Kindle Paperwhite. These steps will help you find the book you want.
On the main screen you have a link in the top right for your library. At the top, you can do it quickly by completing or downloading. This is a great place to start when you need a book you’ve already purchased and downloaded.
Tips Every Kindle Owner Should Know
At the top right of your library is the sorting option. Start by selecting Grid or List View. The grid is fine if you find books easier by their covers, but the list lets you see more than the screen.
Then choose to sort by newest, title, author, or collection. Of course, the type of book you are looking for will determine which book you choose.
To the left of Kōmaka i Tō Puna is the filter. This is another great option to find what you want. You will see options such as reading and reading, books, models and collections, and basic reading if applicable.
When you’re done with a filter or using another, tap the X at the top to close it.

Another quick way to find something on your Kindle is through its search box. If you know the book title, author or other keyword, enter it in the search box. You will see your results with the option to search everywhere, which also searches the best articles, Wikipedia, dictionaries and text in books. So keep the search term in mind to find things other than the book you downloaded.
If you’d rather put your Kindle Paperwhite library on a larger screen, you can do so on the Amazon website. Even if the book you’re looking for isn’t on your Kindle, you can do other things like mark books as read, unread, add to collections, delete, or read online.
3) Make sure the Content tab is selected at the top, you should see your books and other content below.
At the top left you will see the filter and the filter. Next to Browse, choose from Books, Articles, Collections, or another option. Then, on the right, narrow the items down by choosing from All, Sales, Samples, or something else.
How Do I Find My Downloaded Books On My Kindle?
You will see a search box to the right of your content list. Enter keywords for title, author or collection and press the search button.
The best thing about using Amazon to manage your library is that you can do it in bulk. So if you want to download multiple books or mark them as read, it’s easy. Select the check boxes for these items and click one of the buttons above.
Individual books can also be won by clicking the action button (three dots) for the number. You’ll see information about the book and options to do things like delete, mark as read, add to collections, and read now. If you select Read Now, a new browser tab will open with the book ready to read.
Another great feature of this site is that you can add books to collections and create a new collection. Click the arrow for the book in the Collections folder. Then select the items you want to add or click the Create New Collection button.

Keep your Kindle handy when it’s time to sit down and read a good book. So keep in mind that while collections are good for keeping certain types of books together, the sorting, filtering and searching functions help you find what you want at the moment. Some features of the new Kindle Paperwhite are still from the past, but overall it’s a modern e-reader that’s easy to use.
It’s not that I hate books, that they are hard to understand or anything like that. However, my ADHD diagnosis makes it difficult to find motivation to start and focus when I work, and I don’t like having a book in my hand. Because of their size, paperbacks and hardcovers are a bit difficult to handle, especially if you like to read with one hand like I do.
Perfect for those who want to read more if not all the little things to read. The $140 panel-backed model (which I used for this review) and the panel-less, $190 Signature Edition have larger 6.8-inch displays that look great under lights, week-long battery life, and flawless looks that are perfect for lazy one-handed readers like me.
