The house was carpeted and the walls were painted this light beige color I just replaced the second floor with a scandinavian looking gray vinyl which I love and will share in another blog post soon. Most of the walls in the house are painted white except for the guest room, so I painted this room white for the remodel.

My house is very small, so I had to get creative to make small rooms feel bigger – it’s all about small spaces!
IKEA BJÖRKSNÄS bed frame really inspired the creation of this bedroom I fell in love with the bed frame when I saw it on the TIKEA website and even more when I went to the store to see it in person. I love minimalist Scandinavian design with real natural materials and headboard cushions with leather details! It only took an hour to assemble the bed frame too!
After getting the bed frame I started researching the rest of the bedroom components I wanted the bedroom to keep the white theme with minimal pieces and then add colorful accent pieces.
For future storage, I could add a MALM chest of drawers, a HEMNES chest of drawers or a PAX closet, but this room has a small closet that offers a lot of storage space. I used storage boxes from IKEA to organize the closet as well

I always put too many things on my nightstand and it is too cluttered so this time I wanted a minimal little nightstand. The IKEASELJE bedside table is easy to put together in 10 minutes and I love the hidden cable option.
I added a NORDMÄRKE wireless charger and it is so easy to put my phone on the wireless charger to charge my phone at night, especially when the lights are off. No more problems with phone chargers!
I can’t believe how much light comes into this bedroom and I used it for storage! IKEASTORSLAGEN curtain rod set was so easy to mount on the wall I wanted the curtains to be above the window and closer to the ceiling to make the room look bigger # interior designer trick the white woven curtains let in the maximum amount of light In the bedroom window, the curtains were too long so I used yaksi tape to sew – just iron and no sewing required!
Finally, I added BÖJA hanging lamps and Alceda stools to match the natural elements of the BJÖRKSNÄS bed frame and tie the room together! The bedspread is also from IKEA for only $600 to make this an affordable bedroom!
